Our mission
GridReady Systems exists to help companies that want to offer AI compute, from established hosting providers and enterprises to building owners and new players entering the market, turn available power into AI capacity as fast as demand requires.
We pair decades of data center and cooling experience with a modular system that is simple to buy, fast to deploy, and built to grow 500 kW at a time, so no one has to overcommit to keep up.
Why we started
We saw the same gap
When Joe Morgan and Steve Barberi met, they saw the same gap. The hosting providers and operators they had worked with for years had customers asking for AI compute, and they had power, but no fast way to deliver it.
New data centers take years, large builds force big up-front commitments, and the grid is the bottleneck.
Joe brought 20 years of building and operating data centers, including AI data centers, and Steve brought 25 years leading AGT, an industrial refrigeration company. Together they built a way for operators to add AI capacity quickly and grow it in step with demand.

Joe Morgan
Co-Founder & CEO
Joe has spent 20 years building, owning and operating data centers. He founded a hosting business in the 1990s, grew it, and sold it in 2021. He then helped build an AI data center business for a startup AI hosting company.
Throughout his career Joe has brought new hosting technology to everyday buyers. He founded GridReady Systems to do the same for AI infrastructure.

Steve Barberi
Co-Founder & CTO
Steve has been CEO and owner of AGT for more than 25 years. Under his leadership AGT developed state-of-the-art refrigeration technology, originally for the printing press industry.
He brings that cooling expertise, and AGT’s 25-year track record, to GridReady.
